The Science Museum of Western Virginia is temporarily located in Tanglewood Mall, Electric Road in Roanoke County at the intersection with Rt. 581/220. We’re on the second level behind Belk Department Store. Our 4,000 sq. ft. gallery space offers a variety of hands-on exhibits that span the spectrum of science. Our gallery emphasizes experiential learning that’s fun and informative, and our exhibits all address specific Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs).
We also have three classrooms, and students on a school field trip to the Science Museum typically participate in a tour of the exhibit gallery along with a class with one of our science educators.
The Science Museum will be at the Tanglewood Mall location until spring of 2013.
