Pre-K Camps
June 10-14: Surf’s Up!
JUST 2 OPENINGS LEFT!
Travel to imaginary beaches with us! Build sandcastles and look for seashells, learn about waves and practice your balancing skills by pretending to surf. We’ll celebrate our learning at a fun beach party on the final day. It’s time to catch a wave!
July 15- 19: Butterflies and Bugs

Discover insects in your own neighborhood and some that live faraway. We’ll explore insect habitats, what they eat, and how they move, and visit our new Butterfly Garden.
Kindergarten – 5th Grade Camps
June 10-14: Blast Off: Rockets!
JUST 1 OPENING LEFT!
Explore the wonders of the universe, see how robots have advanced space exploration, investigate the principles of flight, and build your own rocket! This camp includes educational materials from NASA and a rocket launch at Victory Stadium!
July 8-12: Butterflies and Bugs
Why are butterflies so colorful? What are some special characteristics of insects? What do they eat and where do they live? This camp includes a visit to our new Butterfly Garden and special presentations by animal care specialist Derek “The Butterfly Guy” Kellogg.
July 15-19: Outdoor Explore
Become a backyard naturalist. Explore woodland and stream habitats in our area, find out about local ecology, and do a field and stream study!
July 15-19: Get Robotic With It
CAMP IS FULL
Design and build your own robot! Learn electronic skills and how to program robot behavior.
August 5-9: Just Prove It!
Test your ideas using the Scientific Method. Boost your knowledge by experimenting and refining your results. This camp includes water experiments and a “wet” field trip.
August 12-16: Get Robotic With It

6th – 8th Grade Camps
July 22-26: Medical Research Camp at Virginia Tech Carilion

Our premiere camp experience takes place at the VTC Research Institute. Campers will have daily activities and presentations conducted by leading research experts using state-of-the-art equipment. Find out more about the human brain and VTC’s cutting-edge research.

Camp Info & Rates
Pre-K camp time is 9 am – 1 pm. Cost: $85/members, $100/nonmembers
K-8 camp time is 9 am – 4 pm. Cost: $225/members, $240/nonmembers
Before and after care is offered for K-8 only. $25/week for each; $40/both.
